History of the Sandwich Town Fair

For thirty years, the Sandwich Town Fair has been entertaining children of all ages during the week after the Fourth of July.

Held at Sandwich High School, the Sandwich Town Fair began when members of the Sandwich School Committee joined with Sports Boosters to bring Billy Burr’s Fun-O-Rama to the school, with some of the proceeds from the rides going to support Sandwich extracurricular programs.

Today, with Rockwell Amusements providing the rides, games, fireworks, and fun, the Sandwich Town Fair is sponsored by the Sandwich High School Athletic Boosters and supports athletic programs at the high school, the Knights Theater Company, Student Council, the Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes, Debate and Civic Action Programs, Sandwich Soul, International Studies, Latin Club, and the National Honor Society.

All these groups would like to thank the families and individuals who have come to the fair over the years for their support, and hope people make a trip to the fair a part of their visit to Sandwich in the summer time!

Ticket Booths, Parking, and cleanup details are staffed entirely by volunteers.
